Ordered a bike rack for my Jeep, 2 door wrangler. The car had an unsafe wobble at highway speeds and would wobble a lot even at slower speeds. Tried to tighten every bolt on the rack and found it made no difference in the performance of the rack. Talked to customer service and was told they don't take returns of used items. Ordered a new hitch from them as all their reviews are great "on their page only" (convenient). The product came damaged. their response was to paint it. That answer wasn't good for me as the product was brand new and painted with heavy duty powder coating. I was asked to email photo's. So I ordered a Curt trailer hitch for my 2016 GMC Canyon that they said would fit. I paid my local mechanic to install. He and laborer removed bumper , spare tire and existing hitch only to find out that the Curt was a quarter inch to small and had to put everything back on. Had to pay them $60 for that labor and no hitch got put on. I went and looked at some other site reviews and saw that other Canyon owners were saying the same thing about... Read more

Ordered items online. Didn't find out one of the items was out of stock until an email a week later. The company can't even put on their website if they have items in stock. Cancelled the order. Will go elsewhere.

Etrailer -  E trailer customer service is less than incompetent.

I am extremely disappointed with etrailer service. My initial order was for a trailer hitch and wiring for my 2015 VW Tiguan. When I figured out on my own that the supplied wiring was incorrect I returned the entire electrical portion of the kit and kept only the metal receiver and ball. Ordered a roof vent fan. When the package arrived it had obviously been previously opened and was missing some packing material. Bench tested the fan and only 2 or the 4 speeds worked. Called to exchange (21 minutes on hold). I was told that they could not do a direct exchange that I had to purchase another one and then return the defective one. Dont see how folks got their products so quick. Ordered on a friday and not going to get it until the following friday... 7 days two states away?!?! They mail ups to usps.. Wtf?!?!

I ordered a bike rack (Thule) on July 18. No communication from the company for four days. So I called to find out the status of the order, and was told the rack was on a high shelf in the warehouse and they were waiting for someone to get it down. WTF? Will not be buying from them again! Have waited 2 weeks for my parts, so I called. I was told 1 of the 7 parts was back ordered and all parts will ship when the one comes in. The only way to expedite the shipping for the remaining 6 is to pay them more! This is ridiculous! It will be over 3 weeks to get parts from this company. They should have offered to send me what they have and I would have gladly waited for the one that is back ordered! Read more
