Well, I've been buying from e trailer for 30 years. Things have changed.
Customer service is responsive 'Ashley,' but not sure if it's in the U.S. Low knowledge of trailer wiring products and got sent the wrong one. 'She' said it's for the GMC but was just looking at the product description and was sent a universal one that does not fit the port in the bed.
What's really irritating is the email does not send pics and the direct phone line does not accept texts. I'll just do Amazon from now on or go to a local dealer.

Im writing to express my frustration and disappointment with my recent order. The item I received was clearly open and used, despite being sold and advertised as new.
I immediately provided photo evidence and Ring camera footage showing the condition of the item upon delivery, leaving no doubt that this was a shipping or quality control error on eTrailers part.
However, instead of promptly correcting the mistake, I was told that I must first ship the item back, wait for it to be received and processed, and only then would a refund be issued. This policy is unreasonable when the evidence already proves eTrailers error. The burden and delay are being placed entirely on the customer the very person inconvenienced by eTrailers mistake.
To make matters worse, I was told the item is now out of stock and would have to be drop-shipped from the manufacturer, yet the only resolution offered was a $30 partial refund on an item that cost over $100.
Thats an inadequate offer and a disappointing response from a company I expected better from.
This experience feels deceptive as though eTrailer may be reselling used or returned items as new and it undermines trust in your brand. I urge eTrailer to take responsibility by issuing a full refund immediately or offering an equivalent replacement without requiring additional effort or delay from the customer.
I hope you will reconsider this approach to customer service and make things right promptly.

I needed them to send me a new item because the first one had drilled holes that didn't line top correctly.
When I received the package the exterior of the boxes we're pretty beat up. Probably due to the handlers.The one item the holes were drilled incorrectly.
They quickly responded and sent me a new one! So I was very happy with that.So with that being said I have no complaints what so ever.

Purchased a curt front mount trailer hitch, mounted per instructions. The hitch sits too low and scrapes the pavement when going in or out of the driveway. All videos showed the hitch sitting at least 3-4 inches higher than how it sits on my 2006 Dodge 2500.
Preferred solution: Explanation of why my install does not match their expressed stance of correct fitment for my truck.

I used to trust etrailer. Not anymore.
I ordered a set of trailer tires after a blowout, counting on etrailer for four reasons: past good experiences, product availability, competitive pricing, and most importantly, timely delivery before a critical trip.
The day before delivery, I was notified the order would be delayed. That last-minute change forced me to scramble and rent a trailer just to keep my trip on track. I spoke with Tyler, who was helpful, but his attempt to offer a goodwill discount was shut down by Sherrie.
I kept the order open after being told it would arrive in time for my next trip. Then came another surprise: the product was discontinued, the order was canceled, and no alternative or support was offered. No effort to make it right. Just silence.
etrailer had every opportunity to show they value their customers—a call, a substitution, even a small discount would have gone a long way. Instead, I got ghosted and left to deal with the consequences on my own.
This experience wasn’t just frustrating—it was revealing. etrailer chose to treat my problem like it was no big deal. That forced me to treat it like the end of the world. I won’t be ordering from them again, and I won’t be recommending them to anyone in the horse or trailer community.

Reduced refund
I purchased a trailer hitch, wiring and wiring support for $250.01. A week later I returned everything because the application vehicle wasn't able to be made serviceable.
The new parts remained in the box and didn't touch the vehicle. My refund was $183.09. That is $66.92 for having the parts in my position for one week. I understand a $32 return shipping fee but certainly not $66.92.
My suggestion: Don't even think about possible returns when attempting to order from e-trailer.
They are not user-friendly with returns. Otherwise, they do have great products.

Ordered 2 brake caliper that come with hardware and brake pads. Brake pads and mounting hardware missing.
Packaging of the products were terrible and as a result caused damage to the product, bleed valves damage.
Etrailer is a horrible company to deal with as customer service just doesn't care and lies to you about when products will be shipped. Stay away.

They commit FRAUD on their shipping claims for many years and sadly no one has stopped them.
When you buy a product it says...FREE SHIPPING and will arrive by a specified date.
That is a lie. They are very disorganized and many other customers have ran into the problem like I did and it did not get shipped out until 2 days later.
I ordered the product at 7.45am in the morning on a Monday.
Even the rep on the phone said it would ship out that day.
It never shipped out until Wednesday!
Therefore, I am stranded with my RV 20 hours away from home and that costs me $200 a lose in a paycheck which adds up to over $1,000. Since it only arrives sometime on Friday and the repair shop works 12 hour days M-Thursday like many do now.
Etrailer supervisor is too uncaring and cheap to help me recover my losses by their fraudulent shipping claims which are a lie.
And they also are not well run in their shipping department as others have posted also.
Sad world...because companies like Etrailer try to compete with Amazon and others who keep their word on shipping.
They should be sued and have to stop lying to customers.
Attached is my email to the supervisor who admits they have employee staff issues in shipping.

Purchased an item that cost nearly $300. They shipped it to the WRONG address.
I never got it. They did nothing to refund my order. I made them aware of THEIR MISTAKE as soon as I found out. They got it back from the shipper (US Post Office) because they were unable to deliver it.
And they are lying about it. THIEVES. DO NOT TAKE CHANCES Buy elsewhere.
I have documentation. Very bad people.

Questions about towing capacity
All I needed was to talk with your expert about how to calculate my towing weight for a 5th wheel referenceing my GMC 2500 HD. My wife and I continually see references to ask an e-trailer expert so I simply called but couldn't talk with anyone.
This was contrary to what we understood.
It would be nice to get a text with a POC and number. THANKS

Mixed messages
I placed an order. I live in Vegas, Im working in Ohio.
Last places worked Tenn, Utah, Oregon, Texas. Basically all over the place. Made an order. Got a message back on order invoice.
Okay. Address good for shopping and billing. Perfect. Then someone calls me about address.
Says CC company say wrong zip code? Humm. I call the CC company to check anddress and zip code are correct. Maybe someone was phishing for info.
Either way, I cancelled order.
Something is wrong down there. Of course they dont reach out to find out problems. No worries.
I can purchase off Amazon as always. Amazon steady and they dont call saying my address is wrong, when I know it is perfect.

All I know about trailer.com is that I have used them twice, once when I lost part of the stabilizer hitch and ordered the parts through the phone. I was on vacation two days from home and two days to my first reservation.
The delivery them to my reservation. No issues. Fair price The next time I was in visiting 6 hours away from home and getting ready to pull out in two days when the a part on the awning alarm went out and it would not roll up. I possibly could have rolled it up by hand and duck taped it.
I again called trailer.com and told them my predicament and asked if there was anyway they could get the parts to me the next day. They said it would cost $100 for the overnight shipping plus the cost of parts. I agreed and had the parts in time to make the repairs before having to get back on the road. Both times I have been completely satisfied with trailer.
The only reason I am writing the review is to let people know they hid a good job and were helpful, understanding and very professional. Thanks
